By now with the readings that I have read you can tell how much Flannery O'conner believes that faith and religion are very important to peoples lives. In the " A Good Man is Hard to Find" the grandmother tests her faith and is killed in the end as a result of doing so. "The River" the little boy finds faith in Jesus and is saved. In the "The Displaced Person" there are so many references to the devil being associated with evil and so on. O'conner uses these stories and depicts how important religion is and can be.
